Why I am a Brilliant Writer of Essays

Yours Truly harbors no illusions that if left to our own devices, we would have not stumbled upon esoteric writing, as our mind is not naturally drawn to deception, although we have experienced deception in our role as a human being. Without the accidental meeting of a certain Cancer Gemini in the year 2004, we would have merrily gone our way upon the well traveled road of Occult research, not upon the path of philosophical ponderings. If the Gentle Reader wonders why there seems to be an frequent references to Gemini Cancers throughout our writings, then this seemingly obsession is the direct acknowledgment that we are who is the direct result of Cancer Geminis. If one Cancer Gemini is responsible for my exposure to esoteric writing, then it would be accurate to state that the other significant Cancer Gemini has been the source of inspiration to apply this technique. Of course, meeting twin Cancer Geminis in the year 2015 has has had either little or no influence on my writing style.
Although we were aware of explicit and implicit contradictions, repetitions, strange expressions, and various other inconsistencies or oddities in a certain book, we accepted the consensus of scholarly supposition that these well documented “mistakes” were the result of scribal errors, so called, and were not intentional.
Yours Truly has long had a difficult time in accepting esoteric writing as a viable means of accurate communication. By its nature, esoteric writing seems to create needless problems to the reader. As a scientist and researcher, we want writing to clearly, as far as we were able, state our views without any undue confusion for the reader, for to speak nonsensically to posterity is the same as not speaking.
Firstly, we were deluded into believing that glaring contradictions in a given text would be recognized by the author and corrected upon proof reading. Contradictions indicate a lower level of writing than accuracy or noncontradictory writing and contradictions create uncertainty. Clearly, then, ambiguous writing was considered by Yours Truly to be inferior to concise writing.
Secondly, we assumed that the average reader would recognize obvious contradictions, whether implied or explicit, and question the validity of the text as authoritative. Subsequent experience has lead us to conclude that average readers do not have the ability to question inconsistencies in writing. Nature, it seems, has divided humanity into two numerically unequal groups; those who seek and those who want to be told.

We now know that esoteric writing exists for at least one reason, and possibly several; the reader brings certain assumptions or opinions to the text and, as these opinions will not change without effort, the understanding, but not the words, of the text must be altered. If careful readers are careful writers, then careless speakers are careless listeners.
We suggest that the overflowing library stacks of books written in the names the Church Fathers. in Occult and mystical systems, and in all religious practices conceal only three facts. Accordingly, we do not assign any value to such efforts ascertaining the correct allocation of vowels to four consonants. This is not Occult research, but busy work. We have read hints that adepts of all ages have the one and same teaching. Firstly, adept is an ambiguous word and, secondly, for any collection of people who have the same knowledge over many ages and in sundry places indicates that this insight is not voluminous, but limited, and finally, to arrive at a universal agreement means that this information is available to all men, as men, not as beings with supernatural revelations or insights.
The purpose of these literary monuments is to beguile researchers into the false opinion or assumption that there are numerous mysteries to be explored and understood. The resultant impression is that if the researcher could have more insight by additional reading, then he, too, will be in control of the occult forces of nature. However, we note that voracious reading is not synonymous with either clear thinking or identical with careful reasoning.
We suggest that Occult “secrets” consist of the nature of the heavens, the nature of matter and the nature of man. If the Occult and philosophy overlap at certain points, then this is due entirely to the vague word “occult” and the ambiguity that is designated by the love of wisdom. It is possible that the multiple uncertainties associated with the Occult, philosophy and theology is not entirely accidental, but the result of intent.
Esoteric writing is to keep hidden “terrible truths”, so called. Now, these truths are not terrible to those without unchangeable opinions and honestly seek the truth at any cost, but are terrible to those who have fixed opinions and therefore despise truth. The real danger of bodily injury, or death, can be demonstrated by an example removed from Occult research.
The law of gravity is based upon several assumptions and many, if not all, current cosmological theories are based on the law of gravity. Theories on the origin and demise of the universe are based upon gravitational assumptions. Modern explanations of black holes and planetary orbits are also dependent on gravity. We make no pretense that we have an advanced understanding of either theoretical or practical physics.
Since we maintain our ignorance of advanced physics, but admit we exist and experience our environment, we offer the following explanation that we modestly describe as the “Law of Buoyancy”- in a given medium, objects will separate according to their respective density.
In the medium of water, fat and various types of wood, being less dense than water, will rise, while materials made of stone and metals, will descend. Of course, the density of metal ships is less dense than water’s density, hence, the observed buoyancy of metal ships.
If we use the medium of air, only hydrogen balloons, and other less dense objects, will rise; all other objects descend or fall. Based on the preceding examples of lesser density, we would expect similar behavior in a vacuum.
As most people have no vested interest in the theory of gravity, we have no reasonable fear that a mob would form, even if we were to make an attack upon the questionable merits of gravity in a public forum. We suggest that if our audience consisted entirely of cosmologists and physicists, voices would be raised. But why?

Firstly, we are attacking certain suppositions and, secondly, scientists use reason and, if they accepted our Law of Buoyancy, then they would be required to reexamine all suppositions and related deductions that are based on gravity. Although neither lawyers nor chess masters, scientists would not need to envision many steps ahead to realize that all physics and astronomy since Newton is based upon nothing but assumptions and their employment is, in reality, nothing but busy work. We can understand how incredulity becomes anger becomes an enraged mob becomes a public attack. The Gentle Reader can readily imagine a bodily attack resulting from a forceful assault on invested opinions held by many people, à la Saint Paul at the Temple.
Esoteric writing is subject to ambiguity only by readers who lack reasoning skills and perseverance, while maintaining their opinions. Therefore, esoteric writing is a barrier that can only be penetrated by a few persistent individuals. Nature, it seems, has designed man into two distinct groups; those who question and those who accept what is presumed. Few readers will be convinced, by reasoned arguments, of the existence of esoteric writing and fewer will agree that esoteric writing is a viable medium that is, ultimately, unambiguous.
Brilliant writing is the result of being open to new experiences that can be adapted to one’s writing style or an audience of one. As writing is limited to only those who can read, so esoteric writing techniques are directed to those youths who like to think. Therefore, it follows that the best writing is for an exclusive audience, oneself.
The subtlety of esoteric writing and word play is one factor that appeals to both the cautious and the philologist. Fred wrote about changing values. Matter will be destroyed at the end of the age, while immortal souls will continue. Therefore, before this change of values, matter was considered permanent, or eternal, while souls were not. Of what duration a soul may expect, we can not state with certainty. The nuisances and common understanding of certain words is also a source of amusement. We make no pretense to mastery of any language but English, yet philologists can scatter clues throughout their writings that will not be understood by those readers who lack taste or refinement.

The light at the dawn of man’s reasoning is, in all respects, identical to our ability nowadays. The shadows are unnatural or primitive and are the result of intentional hiding by the few and unintentional obscuring by the majority.
Certain religious mysteries can be understood as contradictions that need to be resolved by the researcher.
We conclude our excursion into the reasons why Yours Truly is a brilliant writer. These reasons can be sufficiently explained by a trio consisting of esoteric writing, a limited audience, and the influence of Cancer Geminis.
As always, the Gentle Researcher will reach his own informed conclusions.
