κόσμος G2889 318
kosmos Probably from the base of κομίζω (G2865)
The KJV translates Strong's G2889 in the following manner: world (186x), adorning (1x).
Rudiments of the World
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world kosmos, and not after Christ.8 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world kosmos, why, as though living in the world kosmos, are ye subject to ordinances, Col 2:8,20
Creation of the World
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world kosmos are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Rom 1:20
Judge of the World
God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world kosmos? Rom 3:6
Heir of the World
For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world kosmos, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. Rom 4:13
The cosmos was not promised to either Abraham or to his seed.
--
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world Kosmos . Rom 1:8
The World and Sin
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world kosmos may become guilty before God. Rom 3:19
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world kosmos , and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:12 (For until the law sin was in the world kosmos: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Rom 5:12-13
Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world kosmos, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?12 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world kosmos, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? Rom 11:12,15
--
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world kosmos?20 For after that in the wisdom of God the world kosmos by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 1Co 1:20-21
---
For the wisdom of this world kosmos is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 1Co 3:19
The phrase “wisdom of the cosmos” is difficult to interpret.
---
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world kosmos to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world kosmos to confound the things which are mighty;27 And base things of the world, kosmos and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 1Co 1:27-28
The phrases “foolish things of the” cosmos and the “base things of” the cosmos are difficult to interpret.

And they that use this world kosmos, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world kosmos passeth away.31 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world kosmos, how he may please his wife.33[CM] There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world kosmos, how she may please her husband.[CM] 1Co 7:31,33-34

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world kosmos unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. -2Co 5:19
