"The One whose Virtues I recognize as my Noble Virtues."

Multiple unprovoked verbal attacks over many years have left me traumatized,
have rendered me emotionally scarred, but my will to power,
my resolve, has never been stronger.

Emperor Ubermensch
introduction
While Emperor Palpatine of the “Star Wars” series is correctly understood as an embodiment of evil, if one moves beyond good and evil, as Nietzsche suggests, then one should rightly understand the Emperor as the personification of the will to power.
Plato’s influence is so overwhelming that all modern philosophies and philosophical concepts can be found in Plato’s dialogues: earnestly seek and you will certainly find, as the Master suggests. All philosophical ideas are found in Plato, except one: the will to power. Of course, the ambitious politician can be understood as an example of the will to power, but like Socrates, we do not want examples of concepts, but definitions. We are ignorant of any explicit statements in the Platonic dialogues for the Nietzschean concept of the will to power.
Since any explicit statements regarding the will to power are unknown to us, we must search for implicit conclusions derived from explicit statements, as we are reluctant to admit that Fred had an original thought; for we refuse to believe that rewording of long established Orthodox Christian theological concepts are to be considered as original philosophical thoughts.
We suggest the immortal soul alludes to the will to power. Esoterically understood, everyone has the potential of an immortal soul, that is, we propose that the soul is immortal for select individuals, for those who exert the will to power; otherwise, the soul will dissipate- “Never give up, never surrender.” “Star Wars” meets Nietzsche meets “Galaxy Quest”.
Clearly, the physical body cannot compete indefinitely with the forces of entropy or decay. Hence, bodily death is assured; the only specific unknowns are where, when and why.
We assure the Gentle Reader we have not fallen into Gnosticism, that hydra of old, for we do not suggest that the material world, existence, is evil. We must maintain, unless we resort to elves and sprites and leprechauns, that the material world is amoral: there is no evidence or any experience we can cite to suggest that materiality is evil. We can only reach a Gnostic conclusion if we admit the existence of the spiritual world that is alien and superior to the mundane world. We could then create a false dichotomy between the good spirit world and the evil material plane. We are not prepared to promote this Gnostic worldview, since we are beyond good and evil. Any perceived contradictions must be satisfactorily resolved by the Gentle Researcher.
We note that “evil” characters, regardless of the genre, seem to be in the possession of the most interesting personas. We suggest that evil characters are less likely to be one dimensional, they have interesting backstories and definitive goals (revenge or the will to power, or both), and that the audience finds super criminals entirely relatable. We may be so bold as to suggest that most people wish they could act as the villain behaves; the restraint of morality leads to the resentment of the masses and this resentment, in turn, leads to neuroses and psychoses. Generally speaking, the good guys without a heroic quest are poor variations on an overused thematic idea.
In our youth, we would not have taken the advice of searching our “feelings” for truth as valid, even if the proposal were from a Dark Lord. However, due to certain life experiences [insert any of the various Cancer Gemini references, encounters, or allusions here] we have realized that certain feelings and knowledge are not mutually exclusive: the Occult meets Astrology meets “Star Wars”. [“Who could foresee I would feel …?”] Therefore, we are now content to experience influences of uncertain origin in our lives without knowing, and without seeking, the exact cause. Lazy Fair.

another prop, to occupy my time.
Recently, we approached a certain youth to convey my gratitude for his actions that have benefited me. We also related specific information that we thought he should possess, although this fact is of a limited duration, and he is powerless to change it, yet, we felt he should know it. One may conclude that our actions both of expressing our gratitude and divulging personal information is in direct proportion to the high esteem we hold for him.
Another fact, of a longer duration, had already been revealed to him and we consider this revelation, or our admission of this fact, the reason for his subsequent behavioral change vis-à-vis Yours Truly.
In a previous conversation, we acknowledged that we love someone, but we were unable to meet certain expectations. [We should learn from the experience of others; Champollion as husband and father or Crowley as husband and father.] We had also explicitly told this youth that we would answer any questions he had, in the vain hope of any inquiries not of a personal nature; we were neither disappointed nor surprised by the direction of his curiosity. The youth inquired of the one we love, of her name, and we did not assign any undue significance to his question and candidly replied, with a necessary correction, while omitting a name. Judging by his facial expression, we immediately knew his question was forthright and not a fishing expedition, nor did he consider my response as a possibility. As we previously explained to him regarding a game of chance, the potential reward should be greater than the perceived risk.
We said to the Cancer Gemini that there is something regarding my situation that he may have either determined, intellectually, or have felt, emotionally. Judging by the distance in his eyes, he was uncertain to what circumstance we were referring; there is no doubt that we are an ambiguous speaker when discussing aspects of a personal nature. After a handful of leading questions, he reached the correct conclusion and then stated that we have been “sad”. I attribute this vague observation both to his limited experiences and his heavy reliance on feelings: we were not happy, therefore, we must be sad. While the answer may be generally correct, “sad” is not the word we would have used. In conclusion to this part, we state that all our efforts go out to the one we love, all my work goes out to the one that we've left behind. All that I am, all that I will ever be...
Although we did not explain our position further, we believe that the Cancer Gemini may feel that our love was not, or is not, reciprocated, an unrequited love; a tragedy; that our situation is, lacking a better word, sad. If we were to attempt to explain that love can not be control, but that love must be free, free to go where it needs to go, we are certain he would be lost with my explanation.
Firstly, we recognize our highest virtues, work ethic, and humor, in certain individuals, in addition to other endearing qualities, such as intelligence, capricious or puckish antics, and ironic observations. Secondly, as we can not offer what our love wants [Although this “want” was never stated, we knew; after all, we are an Occultist. Yours Truly being jointly responsible for an immature human for many years is both a terrifying and an overwhelming prospect.], then the only reasonable action, as Journey suggests, is to go our separate ways. However, we have not harbored the unreasonable expectation, or the hope, that circumstances will change, as though physical proximity is synonymous with, dependent upon, and inseparable from, recognizing the noble virtues, or love.
We now know that this Cancer Gemini has realized that he also possesses the virtues that we value. Upon reaching this obvious, all too obvious, conclusion regarding the nature of our love of his virtues, he has presumed, or reached, an incorrect conclusion regarding our love for him, as an individual, as a physical being. We assume this false assumption is the basis for his behavioral changes. We are certain that he is unaware of other concepts of love as distinct from, and superior to, the modern, or false, ideas regarding love.
The Capricorn and the Titanic share at least one feature: compartmentalization. Any two compartments can be breached, even the first four can be inundated, yet we do not flounder. Of course, there is a physical point that can be exceeded; as the Titanic is made of iron and we are not entirely an aquatic animal.

i've said too much, i haven't said enough.
We are certain that this youth adheres to the modern opinion that one should strive and struggle to acquire one’s love, but success in such an endeavor would only be control, at the expense of another, placing one's wants above another person's wants, thereby demonstrating not love, but power. What is the embodiment of the complete lack of love, but the Emperor of the first Galactic Empire?
By our definition, it is impossible for us to manipulate those we love, such machinations are only for those we seek to control, those who have no recognizable virtues or noble aspects. Once again, the recognition of virtues can not be identical to, or compatible with, the demonstration of power.
We hope our excursion into the realms of fiction, philosophy, and various virtues have left the Gentle Researcher aware of our reasoning, outlook, and motives regarding not only the will to power, but also how, exactly, real, or true, love is anterior, and superior to the demonstrably false duality of good and evil.
