God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Mr. Brooks
courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

We may state that Great Occultists are desirous of keeping company with those individuals who, if not at times antagonistic towards certain views, then are always ready to discuss perceived inconsistencies in either word or deed of the aforementioned Great Occultist. Therefore, it is a pleasure to pay tribute to Apprentice Denver.
Apprentice Denver and we have spoken on several occasions regarding his career plans after graduation from high school 1.0. We have no doubt that our enthusiasm for Apprentice Denver’s attending Purdue University was greatly curtailed when we were informed of how his choice of a world-class university was to be financed. It is now evident to Yours Truly that personal bias negatively affected typically excellent career advice.
Recently, Apprentice Denver made know (in that direct Gemini style-"Frequently imitated, never duplicated.") certain positions of Yours Truly that may seem contradictory, and Yours Truly was confronted with either accepting being hypocritical, or satisfactorily revolving the issue. Yours Truly is conservative, so much, in fact, that my expressed conservatism makes both fundamental Christian positions and astronomer’s suppositions appear as they are in reality: liberal.
One of the three obligations of the state is to protect its citizens from foreign interference, therefore, reason dictates that one must support one's military. Yet, although we did not actively dissuade Apprentice Denver from pursuing his choice, our assent was a long time coming into being, so long, in fact, that it would be reasonable for Apprentice Denver to conclude that we did not approve.
Over the preceding two years, we do not recall having observed any questionable behavior from Apprentice Denver that would indicate his lack of suitability for military service. Our observations and conclusion are relevant not only to Apprentice Denver, but applies to the Assistance to Apprentice Denver, Joe, and the other gentlemen of their company who seek to serve their country. In conclusion to this part, we may say that their dedication, determination, and disciple regarding extracurricular activities will be readily transferable to the armed services.
The military protects the city, which is universally beneficial, but it has also removed certain individuals from our life, which is personally detrimental. Therefore, we conclude that while we support a strong military, generally, I do not want personal loss, specifically.
Although some of our detractors may declare our position as nothing more than “Selfish, all too selfish”, we can only respond that humanity, and human achievement, is nothing without the interactions between the ego and the superego.
As a capitalist, we cannot know what is in the best interests of Apprentice Denver. To hold to the opinion that we do, in fact, know what is best for certain individuals, necessarily implies that others may, or more likely will, also know what is in our best interests. Therefore, we are generally reluctant to dictate behavior and we do little more than offer advice and suggestions.
As an Occultist, we have no reason, astrological or otherwise, to hold to the opinion that Apprentice Denver will fail either in his pursuits, or his goals. Of course, as a Gemini who has resolved to pursue a certain course, any attempt to change Apprentice Denver's mind on our part would be asinine, at best, and potentially damaging to our productive and otherwise positive relationship, at worst.
As a philosopher, we know that what is good, or beneficial, for some people is not good for others. We must rely on Nature to present universal facts and we must apply reason to accept these distinctions and to guide us in their correct application.
As a friend, or one who publicly expresses positive opinions, I wish you all the best.
As a private individual, I cannot but feel that our adventures are coming to an untimely end.
