I went to a local quick service restaurant and I learned the general manager had quit. I had been acquainted with him for several years before his career at this restaurant. Upon reflection, he may not have been human, because I do not have anything derogatory to say concerning his store operations.
He was not outgoing, but would acknowledge customers, myself included. Store operations were not considerably worse when he was not there, so the store ran well without his presence, which is praise in food service.
The lady in Drive Thru, who we learned has been with the company 7 years, said that the General Manager returned from a week long vacation and was in the store for a short amount time before he announced he was quitting.
This location has displayed on their road sign for the last week, "the the". In a nod to consistency, ti is on both sides of the sing. In a nod to shrugging, no one read the sign.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I had previously desired to document Diane and Kelly, but did not. I have known both for over ten years. One was transfered to another store and shrugged, the other was General Manager for many years at the same location before shrugging. I give a tip of the hat to Tracy, Diane and Kelly.
The bell tolls for those people who no longer feel to the need to be sacrificed on the alter of the incompetence of others.
